Well, it's that time of year again! The holiday season is here, and that means it is time for our annual Howell High School TSA Holiday Party! This party is open to all TSA members and will be held directly after school in room # B109 on Wednesday December 12.

Also, please also bring some type of food, snack, or drink with you to make this party as fun as possible! If you have any questions concerning the holiday party please see Mrs. Roses in room B109.

Happy Holidays!

New Jersey TSA Leadership Conference

Last week, our Howell High School chapter officers attended the 2007 New Jersey TSA Leadership Conference at The College of New Jersey. At this event, our chapter officers, as well as the other TSA chapter officers throughout New Jersey, met with our New Jersey state officers and had activities to get to know each other better.

After initial greetings, we were all shown how technology is used by a variety of people, including magicians. And a guest magician appeared to demonstrate how technology was used in his career (which was very surprising to many who were there).

And to end the day, the attendants participated in a technology challenge (though I will not elaborate on the details of the challenge in case Mrs. Roses or the other Technology Design teachers, chooses to re-use the activity in one of their classes).

I would also like to mention as a side-note that there could possibly be a chapter TSA meeting sometime next week. Though this is entirely unofficial at this time. Once the date of the meeting is determined a post will be made here and a newsletter will be sent out, to those whom subscribed.

Why did I make this page black?

Well, it has recently been proven that computer monitors require more energy to produce white displays than black displays, so in an effort to save electrical power, we have decided to make the Howell TSA Chapter site black.
Even though the energy savings are small, it will add up to to a lot of savings over time. Not to mention that black pages also cause less irritation on the eyes.
Other sites on the internet have also taken notice of this, by making their pages black. One such site known as Blackle, features a Google Search with a predominantly black background. And this site has already had an estimated 248,596.864 Watt hours of energy conserved so far, (as of 10/12/2007) and counting!
